Description:
ABR Fire-on Honeycomb Decal Sheet is a kiln-fired decal sheet made for adding a metallic honeycomb pattern to finished glass work. The sheet contains a various assortment of honeycomb images in multiple sizes, and the decal material is designed to release from its backing with water so it can be slid into position on the glass. Once fired, the platinum decoration fuses to the surface, creating a permanent, durable metallic design that is ideal for embellishing beads, pendants, ornaments, and other kiln-compatible glass pieces.
How it is used:
- Cut out the desired honeycomb image from the sheet, leaving a small margin around the design
- Soak the decal in water until the decal film releases from the backing paper
- Slide the decal into position on a clean, dry glass surface and gently smooth out trapped water and air
- Allow the decal to dry fully so it does not shift during firing
- Fire the piece in a kiln using a decal firing schedule appropriate for fire-on platinum decals so the design permanently bonds to the surface
