Description:
The Horizontal Beveler/Grinder Plate 18 is a replacement plate designed for use with Covington horizontal beveler and grinder units. This flat lap plate is machined true and features a one-inch smooth bore hole that allows it to attach securely to the beveler/grinder motor shaft. The plate is constructed to support various grinding and polishing compounds, enabling cold-working of glass and stone pieces. When paired with appropriate abrasive discs and compounds, this plate allows artisans to grind, shape, bevel, and polish glass edges and surfaces with precision and control. The larger 18-inch plate size accommodates bigger workpieces and provides greater surface area for grinding operations. The plate measures 20 inches by 20 inches by 5 inches and weighs 55 pounds.
How it is used:
- Attach the plate to the horizontal beveler/grinder unit using the one-inch bore hole
- Select the appropriate grit abrasive disc for your desired finish, from coarse grinding to fine polishing
