Anodized aluminum handle holds a graphite disc securely on the end. Use in your lathe chuck as a surface to create a flat face on the bottom end of your piece that is perpendicular to the main axis. Very handy for equalizing multiple feet on a piece to stand up straight. Can also be used by hand as a masher when cold.
