Description:
This is a fire-on decal sheet printed with black Merkaba designs intended for permanent application to glass. The decals are constructed as kiln-fired transfers that release from their backing in water, allowing the design to be positioned onto clean glass before firing. In lampworking and glass fusing, fire-on decals are used after the piece is fully shaped and annealed to add crisp, repeatable imagery without hand painting. These are especially useful for production work and for adding fine-line graphics to pendants, tiles, cabochons, and small vessels. The sheet is sold as a single 9 inch by 6 inch sheet and contains an assortment of Merkaba images ranging from 1/2 inch to 1 inch.
How it is used:
- Clean the glass surface thoroughly so the decal can bond cleanly during firing
- Cut out the desired image from the sheet
- Soak the decal in water until the design releases from the backing paper
- Slide the decal into position on the glass and smooth out all trapped water and air
- Allow the piece to dry completely, then fire according to standard fire-on decal schedules for the glass type and project
