Moretti Blue Ink Transparent is an Effetre soft glass color produced as solid rod stock for 104 COE lampworking. This transparent blue has an inky, saturated tone that gives strong color while still allowing light to pass through, making it ideal for work where you want depth instead of a flat opaque surface. In rod form it is well suited for building beads and small components, and it pulls into consistent stringer for clean detail lines, scrollwork, and layered transparent effects.

How it is used:

Melt the rod directly to create gathers for beads, small sculptural elements, and color overlays.
Pull into stringer for transparent blue linework, filigree, and fine detail.
Layer over light opaques to create deeper blue shading while keeping underlying shapes visible.
Use in encasing and transparent stacking when you want a rich blue that reads darker as you add layers.
