This is an Effetre Moretti special color rod called Dark Matter Rose. It is manufactured as a solid, round rod and pulled in mixed working diameters from 3–7 mm so it can be introduced directly into a lampworking flame. This color is used when you want a moody, complex rose tone that can read as a deep dusty pink and can shift in appearance depending on heat and layering, making it useful for floral palettes, organic sculptural work, and designs where a standard pink feels too bright or too clean.
How it is used:
- Use as a primary color for beadmaking and small sculpture when you want a deeper, more atmospheric rose tone.
