Moretti Red Dark Special stringer is Effetre 104 COE soft glass that has been pulled down into thin stringer for controlled, precise application. Stringer is used when you want to add clean lines, fine details, and small amounts of color without introducing the bulk and heat load of a full-size rod. This color is a deep, dark red suited for crisp linework, scrollwork, dot stacks, and surface decoration on beads, small sculpture, and other soft glass lampworking work.

How it is used:

• Preheat the stringer and work it in a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame to keep the application clean and controlled.
• Use the tip to draw fine lines, outlines, and scrollwork on a warm base bead or component.
• Apply small dots and accents, then melt in fully for smooth surface decoration or leave slightly raised for texture.
• Pull to an even finer point in the flame when you need hairline detail and minimal glass added.
