Description:

Moretti Whisper is an Effetre soft glass color rod used in lampworking and beadmaking when you want a very subtle, quiet tint that can soften high-contrast palettes without reading as a strong opaque. It is supplied as a solid glass rod that you heat in a torch flame and apply as wraps, dots, or pulled stringer. Colors in this style are especially useful for gentle transitions, background layers, and detail work where you want control and a refined, understated finish rather than a bold block of color.

How it is used:

• Warm the rod slowly in the outer flame to bring it up to temperature evenly before introducing it to hotter working heat.
• Apply as a thin wrap over stronger colors to soften the overall look without fully muting the design.
• Pull into stringer for delicate linework, subtle shading, and fine detailing.
• Use for small dots and spacer beads when you want a neutral tone that blends smoothly with other Effetre colors.
• Layer in simple cane pulls to create gentle tonal variation in bead and small component work.

Dimensions:

• Rod diameter: 5mm – 6mm
