Description:
Moretti Brown Red Dark is a special Effetre soft glass color pulled into rod form for lampworking. This deep wine red tone is commonly chosen when you want a richer, more muted red that reads earthy and sophisticated rather than bright. In rod form it is straightforward to heat and apply for beadmaking and small sculptural work, and it is also easy to pull into stringer for controlled linework, dots, and trim where a darker red accent is needed.
How it is used:
- Warm the rod slowly at the edge of the flame to reduce thermal shock
- Use as a base color for beads and small forms when you want a deep, wine-toned red
- Pull into stringer for fine detail such as outlines, scrollwork, and dot patterns
- Layer with compatible soft glass colors to build depth, then shape and finish as normal
