Description:
This nickel plated diamond wheel is manufactured using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process to produce a long-lasting, high quality abrasive cutting and grinding surface. A 600 grit wheel is used for very fine finishing work when you need to refine surfaces after pre-polish steps and reduce fine scratches before moving to the final polish stage. This grit is especially useful when you want cleaner edges and smoother faces with minimal subsurface damage so polishing goes faster and produces a brighter finish.
Grit size is 600 and wheel diameter is 4".
How it is used:
- Mount the wheel on the appropriate lapidary grinder or arbor and verify it runs true before bringing glass to the surface.
- Use with water to cool the glass and wheel, reduce chipping, and carry away grinding swarf.
- Use very light pressure and keep the glass moving to avoid creating fine ripples or localized wear marks.
- Use this grit after a 360 grit or similar pre-polish step to remove remaining fine scratches before final polishing.
