Description:
This is a 6 inch diameter nickel plated diamond wheel manufactured using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process. The diamond abrasive is electroplated in a nickel bond onto the wheel body, producing a precise, even cutting surface designed for long service life. A 360 grit wheel is used in fine finishing stages when you need to remove the scratch pattern left by coarser wheels and bring the surface closer to a pre-polish finish. In glass work, it is used for controlled coldworking on lampworked parts, fused glass edges, and other glass components where you want a smoother surface before moving to very fine abrasives, sanding belts, or polishing compounds.
How it is used:
- Use with water as coolant to prevent overheating and to flush away fine glass particles.
- Use light pressure and keep the work moving to maintain an even surface finish.
- Use after coarser grits to refine the surface and reduce visible scratches.
- Follow with finer abrasives and polishing steps when an optical or high gloss finish is required.
