Description:
The Nickel Plated Wheel 8" Grit 600 is a diamond grinding wheel manufactured using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process, where diamond abrasive is bonded to the wheel surface through nickel electroplating. This nickel plated construction produces a long lasting wheel with high quality diamonds and a consistent cutting surface. The 600 grit grade is a fine grinding step used after coarse shaping to refine edges, reduce visible grind lines, and prepare glass for pre polish and polish steps. In lampworking and other glassworking workflows, this wheel is used in coldworking to clean up cut edges and refine fit and finish on components that will be assembled, fire polished, or taken through additional finishing.
How it is used:
- Refine and smooth glass edges after coarse grinding steps
- Reduce grind lines before moving to pre polish and polish wheels
- Clean up cut edges on parts intended for lampworking assemblies and coldworked joins
