Description:

This nickel plated diamond wheel is manufactured using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process to produce a long-lasting, high quality abrasive cutting and grinding surface. A 260 grit wheel is used when you want a finer, more controlled cut than a coarse shaping wheel, making it a strong choice for smoothing saw marks, refining contours, and preparing edges and surfaces before moving on to pre-polish and polish steps.

Grit size is 260 and wheel diameter is 4".

How it is used:

  • Mount the wheel on the appropriate lapidary grinder or arbor and verify it runs true before bringing glass to the surface.
  • Use with water to cool the glass and wheel, reduce chipping, and carry away grinding swarf.
  • Apply light, steady pressure and keep the glass moving to avoid flat spots, heat buildup, and edge bruising.
  • Use this grit after rough shaping, then step to finer grits for pre-polish and final finishing.
