Description:
This is a 4 inch diameter nickel plated diamond wheel made using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process. The diamond abrasive is electroplated in a nickel bond onto the wheel body to create an aggressive, fast-cutting grinding surface. An 80 grit wheel is used when you need rapid stock removal for shaping and truing glass, including coldworking tasks that follow hot shop work, lampworking fabrication, or fusing projects. It is typically chosen early in a grinding sequence to quickly establish a flat, true surface or to remove saw marks before moving on to finer grits for smoothing and pre-polish.
How it is used:
- Use with water as coolant to reduce heat and carry away glass swarf.
