Description:
This is a 6 inch diameter nickel plated diamond wheel made using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process. The diamond abrasive is electroplated in a nickel bond onto the wheel body to create a versatile grinding surface. A 100 grit wheel bridges the gap between aggressive stock removal and fine finishing work. It is used after initial shaping with coarser grits to refine edges, smooth surfaces, and prepare glass for final polishing. This wheel size and grit combination is ideal for both lampworking coldworking applications and fused glass edge finishing where you need moderate cutting action without leaving deep scratches.
How it is used:
- Use with water as coolant to reduce heat and carry away glass swarf.
- Apply moderate pressure and allow the wheel to do the work to maintain wheel life and surface quality.
- Use after coarser grits to refine edges and smooth surfaces before moving to finer grits.
- Suitable for both flat edge work and curved surfaces in coldworking applications.
