Description:
The Nickel Plated Wheel 8" Grit 60 is a diamond grinding wheel manufactured using SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process, where diamond abrasive is bonded to the wheel surface through nickel electroplating. This nickel plated construction produces a long lasting wheel with high quality diamonds and aggressive cutting action. The 60 grit grade is a coarse grinding step used for fast material removal when shaping and truing glass, removing heavy saw marks, and correcting chips or uneven edges before moving on to finer grits. In lampworking and other glassworking workflows, this wheel is commonly used in coldworking to quickly establish the basic shape and edge profile of components that will later be refined, smoothed, and polished.
How it is used:
- Remove heavy saw marks and quickly true up cut glass edges
