Description:
Opaque Grass Green frit is made by crushing compatible 104 COE Effetre Moretti glass into a medium frit size, then packaging it for clean, repeatable color application in the flame. This is an opaque pastel grass green that is especially useful when you want solid, even color coverage without the streaking and smearing that can happen with some surface-applied color methods. It is commonly used in lampworking for rolling beads, adding spot color, building layered surfaces, and for controlled color placement prior to encasing.
How it is used:
- Warm the bead or component to a tacky surface heat and roll or sprinkle the frit onto the glass to apply an even layer of color.
- Use light applications for speckling and heavier applications for solid coverage and bold opaque fields of color.
- Melt in smoothly and, if desired, encase with a compatible 104 COE clear to lock in the surface and add depth.
- Combine with other compatible 104 COE frits for shading, transitions, and layered decorative effects.
