Description:
This is a medium-grade frit made by crushing and screening opaque nile green Effetre Moretti 104 COE glass into consistent granules for lampworking. Opaque frit provides solid, non-transparent color coverage and is used when you want fast, repeatable surface color application without pulling stringer or laying down rod. Nile green is a soft, muted green pastel that works beautifully as a stand-alone color layer or combined with other colors for custom effects. The opaque nature makes it ideal for building solid base colors and creating clean, defined patterns.
How it is used:
- Warm the bead or component to a tacky glow and roll it through frit to pick up an even layer of particles.
- Melt the frit in smoothly for a solid, opaque color layer that covers base glass completely.
- Use sparingly for light freckling and soft color accents, or apply heavier coverage for rich, saturated color.
- For cleaner patterns and less smearing, apply frit, melt it in, then encase with clear 104 COE glass.
