Opaque Pea Green frit is a 104 COE soft glass frit made by crushing and sizing opaque pea green Effetre Moretti glass into a medium-grade particle. This frit is used in lampworking when you want fast, even color coverage, controlled speckling, or layered surface effects without pulling stringer or applying larger chips. It is especially useful for rolling hot gathers for all-over color, building up opaque bases, and creating clean, consistent frit patterns that can be left as-is or encased for depth and a smooth finish.
How it is used:
- Warm the bead or gather to a smooth orange glow, then roll or dab into frit to apply an even layer of color.
- Use light applications for speckling and heavier applications for solid, opaque coverage.
