It is used in lampworking when you want to apply solid, even color quickly and repeatably without pulling stringer or applying rod directly, and it is especially useful for creating opaque surface layers that can be left as-is or encased to keep designs crisp and prevent smearing during further shaping. How it is used:
- Warm the bead or component to a tacky surface heat and roll or dab into frit to apply an even layer of color.
