Description:

This is an opaque white pastel Effetre frit made by crushing and sizing 104 COE soft glass into a medium-grade particle. It is used in lampworking when you want to apply solid, even white coverage quickly without pulling stringer or applying rod directly, and it is especially useful for building clean base layers for surface decoration, creating high-contrast designs, and preparing a smooth white foundation that can be left opaque or encased to keep patterns crisp during further shaping.

How it is used:

• Warm the bead or component to a tacky surface heat and roll or dab into frit to apply an even layer of white.
• Apply in thin layers for subtle coverage or build heavier for a solid opaque base, then melt in smooth.
• Use as a base layer under other colors to brighten and increase opacity, especially in layered bead designs.
• Encase over a frit layer to preserve crisp patterns and reduce smearing while you continue shaping and finishing.
