Origin Aqua Glow Frit (F) is a fine-grade glass frit blend intended for flameworking and kiln-formed glass work where you want the smoothest melt and the most even, dust-like coverage. It is produced by crushing compatible color glass and screening it down into a fine frit size, giving you a material that melts in quickly and lays down color with minimal texture.
Fine frit is a strong choice when you want soft transitions, clean encasement, and controlled surface application on beads, pendants, small sculptural work, and detailed accent areas. Because the particles are smaller than small or medium frit, it is especially useful for subtle color layering, light surface “wash” effects, and packing into tight spaces where larger frit can look chunky or leave gaps.
How it is used:
- Warm the glass evenly, then lightly roll or sprinkle the frit onto the hot surface using a frit tray or marver area
- Melt in slowly with a neutral flame to keep the application smooth and reduce scorching
- Encase under clear to create depth and a clean, glossy finish
- Use as a base layer under other colors to build fades and layered effects
- For kiln work, sift or place fine frit into molds or recesses where the smaller grain helps reduce harsh texture and supports more even fill
