Origin Aqua Glow Frit (S) is a small-grade glass frit blend designed for flameworking and other kiln-formed glass applications where you want fast, even coverage and a bright aqua color effect. It is made by crushing compatible color glass into fine, consistent granules, then sizing it into a small frit grade so it can be sprinkled, rolled onto a hot gather, or packed into small details without the chunky texture you get from larger frit.
Small frit is especially useful when you want smoother melts, cleaner edges, and more controlled color placement on beads, pendants, small sculptural work, and surface decoration. It is commonly used to add color, create layered effects under clear, and build visual depth without needing to pull stringer or apply sheet.
How it is used:
- Warm the piece in the flame, then roll or sprinkle the frit onto the hot surface using a frit tray or marver area
- Melt the frit in gently with a neutral flame to reduce scorching and keep the application even
- Encapsulate under clear for depth and a smoother surface finish
- Use in small amounts for spot color, fades, and detailed patterning on beads and small components
