Origin Bubblegum Pink Frit (L) is a large-grade pink glass frit made for adding fast, consistent color to borosilicate lampworking and hot shop work. Large frit is made up of chunkier particles than fine or medium grades, so it stays more textured on the surface and can be placed more deliberately for bold, defined color breaks. It is commonly used for surface decoration on beads, pendants, small sculptures, and blown components when you want a bubblegum-pink accent without having to pull and apply colored rod.
How it is used:
- Warm the glass you want to decorate until it is evenly tacky, not soupy
- Roll or dab the hot glass into the frit to pick up the amount you want
- Melt in fully for a smoother finish, or melt in lightly to preserve more texture
- Encapsulate with clear when you want to protect the color layer and add depth
- Use in small pinches for controlled placement, or heavier coverage for solid fields of pink
