Origin Lazuli Blue Frit is a lampworking color frit in a large grain size, designed to be applied to hot borosilicate glass for bold, saturated blue surface color and texture. Frit is made by crushing compatible colored glass into graded particle sizes, and the large grade gives you more pronounced speckling, heavier coverage, and a more organic, broken-up look than fine frit. This is a go-to choice when you want strong blue accents without pulling stringer, and it is especially useful for quick color application on beads, small sculpture, and blown components where you want the color to stay visually distinct.
How it is used:
- Warm the base glass evenly, then bring the surface to a tacky heat where it will pick up frit cleanly.
- Roll or dab the hot glass into a frit tray, or sprinkle frit onto the heated area for more controlled placement.
