Description:
This 8 inch pre-polishing disc is a flexible, resin-bonded diamond abrasive disc built with SW Diamond Products proprietary diamond plating process. The abrasive layer uses a high concentration of diamond mixed into the resin to cut fast while still leaving a controlled, even pre-polish finish. A magnetic backing lets the disc mount quickly and securely to compatible lap and disc systems, making it a practical choice for moving through finishing steps without fuss. In lampworking and scientific glass work, discs like this are commonly used at the coldworking bench to refine ground surfaces on glass components before final polish, helping remove earlier grinding marks and reducing the time needed on finer finishing stages. This disc is designed to run with water as coolant, and it is offered with either a center hole or no hole depending on the setup you are mounting it to.
