The Sheet Metal Pan & Hood For Lathe is a formed sheet metal splash pan and adjustable hood assembly designed to mount around a lapidary or glass grinding lathe setup. The pan catches water, coolant, and grinding slurry, while the hood helps contain overspray and directs mess back into the pan. This style of pan and hood is commonly used anywhere you are wet-grinding glass, stone, or similar materials, especially when you want to keep your work area cleaner and reduce airborne mist. This fits up to 8" wheels & features left, middle, right hood positions.
How it is used:
- Install the pan beneath the grinding wheel area to catch runoff and slurry.
- Position the hood to the left, middle, or right to best match your wheel location and working angle.
