Simax 115mm x 5mm clear tubing is straight, clear glass tubing sold in case quantities for lampworking and scientific-style glass fabrication. Tubing like this is used when you need a clean, consistent starting tube for hollow builds, seals, and connections. It is commonly selected for work that involves heating and rotating to keep the tube round, making joins to other tubing or components, and forming sections by expanding, necking down, and shaping in the flame.
How it is used:
- Cut to working length and fire polish the ends before starting a build
- Heat and rotate evenly to maintain roundness while shaping
- Join to other tubing or components using standard sealing techniques
