These Small Sphere Machine Cutter Cups are a matched pair of 7/8 inch cutter cups manufactured at the Covington facility for use with the Covington Small Sphere Machine. The cutter cups are the primary wear components that contact the workpiece and keep it rolling smoothly while it is ground in a grit slurry bath. In sphere grinding, consistent rolling and even pressure are what produce a true sphere instead of an out of round result. Replacing worn cups helps restore accurate tracking, improves cutting efficiency, and supports a more uniform finish when shaping and restoring marbles or producing precision spheres for scientific and artistic applications.
How it is used:
