Small Batch Envy Blend is a dark green lampworking color that can shift from an opaque woods green to a semi transparent deep green depending on how it is worked. It is supplied as a small batch color intended for borosilicate lampworking applications where you want a rich, earthy green in surface work, accents, and layered color effects. Deep encasement with Envy Blend is not recommended because the color can lose clarity and visual depth when buried under thick clear.
How it is used:
- Warm the glass gradually and work in a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame to keep the green clean and consistent.
- Use for surface applications such as wraps, stringer detail, and overlays where you want a dark forest green tone.
- For layered effects, apply Envy Blend as a thin layer and keep any clear cap thin to preserve the intended color character.
- If you need an encased look, test with light encasement first rather than heavy build-up.
