Description:

Soft Green Striped Tubing is American-made, hand-pulled borosilicate color tubing featuring layered stripes of light and dark green with teal and white accents. This style of striped tubing is constructed by combining multiple color gathers into a patterned billet, then pulling it down into consistent tubing so the color layout runs the full length of the piece. In lampworking, striped color tubing is used when you want built-in pattern and color movement without having to manually stripe or twist rod. It is especially useful for blown sections, sleeves, overlays, and components where you want the stripe pattern to stay clean and continuous around the circumference. The mossy green palette makes it a strong choice for nature-themed work, organic forms, and any piece where you want depth and variation without heavy surface decoration.

Please note that not every piece of tubing weighs exactly 1 lb. Customers will be billed for the actual weight of the tubing shipped. Please make sure that the contact information on your account is up to date or leave a note on your order to let us know if you would prefer a piece that is more or less than you ordered.

How it is used:

  • Cut the tubing to length for the section you are building
  • Heat evenly while rotating to keep the tubing round and prevent flat spots
  • Blow out or expand the tubing to form bubbles, sections, or vessel components
  • Use as an overlay sleeve on clear tubing to add color and pattern
  • Seal in ends, attach to other components, and anneal according to your normal borosilicate schedule

Dimensions:

  • Approximately 25mm x 4mm
  • Average length of 20" to 22"
