TAG Dwarf White is a smooth, creamy white borosilicate color that stays slightly translucent, making it a go-to when you want a softer white instead of a heavy, super-dense look.
It’s especially useful for building clean white areas without overpowering your design—great for subtle opacity, gentle layering, and controlled white details that still let light move through the glass.
Why this color
Dwarf White was designed for the moments when you want white, but not a thick, chalky wall of it. That “bit translucent” character makes it ideal for effects like clouds, teeth, and other organic white elements where depth matters.
In the flame, it’s known for being fine-textured and not particularly atmosphere-sensitive. Like most white boro, many lampworkers prefer running a little more oxygen to help reduce the chance of boiling, especially as you bring it up to working temperature.
