Description:

TAG Light Elvis Red Rod is a color glass rod formulated for borosilicate lampworking. It is manufactured as solid rod stock so it can be introduced directly into the flame, heated evenly, and applied as surface color, line work, or built up into small solid components. This color is commonly chosen when you want a clean red family tone in your work, and it is typically used for accents, overlays, and decorative detail where strong color presence matters.

How it is used:

• Warm the rod gradually in the far flame to reduce thermal shock, then bring it up to a working heat.
• Apply as stringer lines, scrollwork, dots, or wrap overlays onto clear or colored bases.
• Use for small sculptural additions by gathering and shaping the molten glass with graphite or metal tools.
• Flame cut and seal the end cleanly when you finish to keep the rod ready for the next session.
