Tara Bracelet Image is a laser etched image on borosilicate dichroic glass, made to give clean, high detail imagery for jewelry and decorative glasswork. ABR etches the design with a high powered laser to produce a crisp picture, then supplies it as a strip that can be incorporated into a bracelet or other wearable design. The image is etched onto various shades of borosilicate dichroic glass, allowing the reflective dichroic layer to add color shift and sparkle behind the etched pattern. These images can be layered to create a three dimensional look when stacked or offset in a build, and they can also be ordered in custom sizes upon request.
How it is used:
- Choose the side and orientation that best displays the etched image and the dichroic effect
- Layer one or more image strips to build depth, then tack fuse the layers together with controlled heat
- Encapsulate or cap the strip with compatible clear borosilicate to protect the etched surface and create a smooth finished face
- Shape the assembly into bracelet components or inlays using gentle, even heat to preserve image clarity
- Anneal the finished piece on a proper borosilicate schedule to relieve stress and improve durability
