Description:

The Triangular Braid Bracelet Image is a laser-etched dichroic glass image strip designed for flameworked bracelet components and other decorative glass jewelry work. ABR etches the image using a high powered laser to produce clean lines and consistent detail. The image is etched onto borosilicate dichroic glass and sold as a strip that can be fused onto a base layer, then capped and encased to create depth and a smooth, durable surface. This style of image strip is used when you want repeatable, graphic patterning for bracelet runs without relying on hand-drawn decoration or complex cane, and it is especially useful for production work where consistency matters. The strips can also be stacked or layered before encasement to create a stronger three dimensional visual effect.

How it is used:

  • Warm the strip slowly in the far flame or a kiln to reduce thermal shock before bringing it into a working flame
  • Cut or segment the strip to match the bracelet blank length or the jewelry component you are building
  • Tack the strip onto a compatible base layer, keeping the braid image aligned as you begin to fuse
  • Fuse the strip in evenly, using controlled heat to avoid smearing the edges of the etched design
  • Layer additional image strips if you want more depth before you cap the surface
  • Cap and encase with clear to protect the etched surface and create a smooth finish suitable for wear
  • Use the finished laminated section as a focal element in bracelets, pendants, or inlay style components
