The Wedged Bracelet Image is a high-powered laser-etched design applied to borosilicate dichroic glass, made specifically for fused glass and jewelry applications where you want crisp, repeatable imagery with strong color-shift effects. The image is etched by ABR Imagery’s laser process to produce clean lines and high contrast, then presented on a dichroic strip that can be used as a focal layer in a bracelet blank, pendant, or inlay. Because the image is etched into the dichroic surface, it can be stacked and layered with additional dichroic or clear glass to build depth and create a three-dimensional look after firing. This style of strip is commonly used when you want a consistent graphic element that survives full fuse temperatures and still reads clearly through a top cap layer.
How it is used
- Cut the strip to length for your bracelet, pendant, or inlay layout
- Clean the glass thoroughly to remove oils and dust before firing
- Layer the etched strip image-side up or image-side down depending on the effect you want through the cap layer
- Stack with clear or compatible dichroic layers to create depth and a three-dimensional look
- Fire in a kiln using your preferred tack fuse or full fuse schedule based on the final thickness and desired contour
- Coldwork edges after firing as needed, then finish the piece for jewelry assembly
