Description:
The Zodiac #2 Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl stencils designed for sandblasting crisp, sharp-edged zodiac imagery onto glass. Each stencil sheet measures 8.5 inches by 12 inches with approximately 5/8-inch top and bottom margins, and includes an instructional sheet. The images on this design are about 1 inch tall and 1.5 inches wide, making them a practical size for marking small vessels, cups, pendants, tiles, and other finished glass surfaces. A water-based adhesive holds the stencil in place during blasting, then releases with a simple water soak so the stencil can lift away cleanly after etching. A minimum purchase of three sheets is required, and you can mix three different stencil designs to meet that minimum.
How it is used:
- Clean and dry the glass surface so the stencil adhesive bonds evenly and seals the edges.
- Apply the vinyl stencil to the glass and press firmly, especially around fine details, to prevent abrasive from undercutting the design.
- Sandblast the exposed areas to your desired depth and frost level, keeping the blast consistent for clean edges.
- Remove the stencil by soaking in water until the adhesive releases, then rinse and dry the glass to reveal the etched zodiac image.
